The 500 Startups Miami Founder Bootcamp

500 Startups is bringing its world-class programming and network of partners & mentors to the wider entrepreneurial community with a series of six, two-day intensive bootcamps for early-stage founders. Founders are welcome to apply to one or the full series of bootcamps. Our progressive curriculum has been thoughtfully crafted to provide the tools, resources and mentorship needed to exponentially scale a company. We’ll be covering topics such as growth fundamentals, fundraising and pitching, sales and marketing, team building, product and design, valuations and cap tables, and more.

Bootcamps will be capped at 20 startup teams per session and participation is free of cost (no fee or equity taken).


Founder Bootcamp #3: Marketing & Sales


Dates: June 27-29, 2018

Deadline to apply: June 13, 2018 (it should only take you 5 minutes!)

Who should apply: Tech startup founders with a product on the market looking to deep dive into how to effectively build a marketing and sales strategy for their business. Recommended participants: CEO, CMO, BD/Sales

Format: Mix of talks, exercises, and 1-on-1 mentor sessions to provide advanced guidance as needed

    • “Jobs to be done” chat open for public. Required attendance for Bootcamp 3 participants as it lays foundation for days ahead
  • June 28: 9am-7pm
    • Day 1 of Bootcamp: Chats, workshops, mentor sessions and guest speaker
  • June 29: 9:30am-7pm
    • Day 2 of Bootcamp: Chats, workshops, mentor sessions and guest speaker

Note: Founders are expected to participate for the opening talk on the 27th and the whole 2 days of the Bootcamp on June 28th and June 29th. If you are not available, kindly allow someone else to take that spot.

Charlie Reverte

Senior Director of Product Management at Oracle

Charlie is founding engineer at AddThis, a website marketing and analytics product that is used by over 15 million domains and reaches 2 billion people per month worldwide. In addition, he was part of the team that led the sale of AddThis to Oracle for $175M. Today, Charlie is a Senior Director of Product Management at Oracle and leads the AddThis website tools group.

Previously, Charlie developed robots at the Carnegie Mellon Robotics institute and spinoff Redzone Robotics. Charlie studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University where he earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in 2001 and 2004. His expertise ranges from marketing, big data analytics to embedded systems to mechanical design, fabrication and welding. He has 10 US patents and a variety of academic papers. Outside of work Charlie is interested in sailing, circuit hacking and cycling.

Jayson Fittipaldi

President and Chief Creative Officer of Nobox Marketing Group

Jayson Fittipaldi serves as President and Chief Creative Officer of Nobox Marketing, a marketing agency that specializes in helping clients maximize the power of social marketing to bring real world results. Jayson co-founded Nobox and has leveraged the right mix of creativity and technology to help the agency grow into what it is today, working with major brands like Firefox, Lexus, Discovery, and others.

Mateus Rocha

Marketing Director, Voyhoy

Mateus is the Marketing Director for, an online travel agency that compares and sells bus, flight, train, ferry and rideshare ticket in Latin America. Previously, Mateus was at unicorn Skyscanner where he held a variety of roles including: Marketing Manager in Scotland and Product Owner and Senior Marketing Manager for Latin America. After leaving Skyscanner and before being recruited by Voyhoy, Mateus joined Telnyx, a voip service provider, in order to implement a B2B marketing strategy. Mateus is a growth hacker that uses the scientific method in marketing. He is passionate about data and with extensive knowledge of product development, agile, lean startup and AARRR metrics.
